Have you ever attended a CCPC conference before? 66 - Yes 66 - No

Would you attend again? 126 - Yes 0 - No

What you liked most about the conference was:
The Learning the Language session!!!

17 Tom Copeland!

3 Jim Cosgrove

Duane Whitbeck was very informative. Have him back!

Ann Altenhofen answered questions very adequately.

The Sign Language

2 Happy Plates, Bubbles and Crayons.

3 I liked the KCCTO training class / The opportunity to get KCCTO hours / Liked Carol Hockersmith as an instructor.

Classes about providers being a business professional.

Hands on classes in dealing with infant/preschool aged children.

The sessions that got me involved.

Getting new information about new ideas on making goals to succeed.

5 Overall professionalism / professional classes / the professionalism of presenters.

These are on topics we don’t usually get to attend or have access to.

A different outlook on daycare.

Presentation by David White (Attorney).

I enjoyed the experts available.

All of my questions were answered.

Fresh ideas.

I liked the coins on the nametags to indicate how many years in childcare.

The overall experience to be able to go to these workshops and learn a lot.

12 Networking / Resources

13 The overall organization.

Provider of the Year Recognition

Getting a lot of hours in one conference.

Advance fliers.

35 Sessions very informative / Good choices of classes / Variety of sessions.

4 Helpful / Friendly Staff

31 Location / setting was great / comfort / all in one area / same as hotel / nice city.

Reasonable price to attend.

4 Good variety of vendors / The booths were fine.

Small numbers.

Sit down meals!

Lunch was great!

I am impressed with the turn out / number of attendees.

3 Everything!

What would you like to see done differently next year in Concordia:

Have a presenter room to store workshop materials in again.

Move it to Lawrence again.

More Tom Copeland!

Less expensive.

More reliability.

12 More choices when it comes to training. Have a lot of fun and serious
classes offered. Wider variety of curriculum based training.

Add art and music workshops.

A session about effective “punishment”, behavior assessment.

Add Stages of Development and Program Planning sessions.

Add a workshop about dealing with autism.

Sessions all the same length; had to go to KCCTO workshop and missed choice
for 3rd session.

2 Presentations offered in two different sessions to enable participants to attend when there are conflicts.

2 Classes that are more lecture, have early in the day instead of right after lunch.

2 Vicki Harris, NAFCC vs. CDA read a lot! Participants knew more than the presenter. Hand-outs should have been updated. Should be more informative.

2 Jennifer Hecker had a hard time staying on subject. It became more of a behavior and guidance workshop rather than observation and assessment. Ran out of time.

Have tapes for people who can’t get to another workshop at the same time they
want to take another one.

7 More hands-on / more child related / fun / make it and take it classes.

A full two days so we could attend more classes.

11 Make sure there is enough space so everyone can attend what they would
like to / Keep people in session they signed up for.

4 Put loud sessions away from quieter sessions.

2 More time to look at exhibits.

5 More exhibits.

3 More free stuff. Everyone should go away a winner.

More time between breaks.

2 More room in the hallway, don’t have exhibits on both sides.

Each classroom should have tables set up for easier writing.

Be warmer.

3 Better t-shirts. They should be more fun.

More soda / pop available with reasonable prices.

4 Better food - it was cold and tasteless. Poor service.

Have a better breakfast.

Keep the business meeting during lunch, but limit it to ½ hour or less of our lunch
break. We need time to relax and socialize.

2 Lunch should count if you have a speaker or you should have the opportunity to
leave and look at exhibits.

Less talking through lunch.

Better directions to conference.

Select clean living quarters.

No student desks for seating at conference.

Room arrangement or better visual tools.

Everything was nice / wonderful!

All the conferences I have ever gone to are great and I have really enjoyed all of them.

Nothing! If at all like this, you should get an A+!!!

Additional comments:

2 Meal was great. It was a treat being served and having a choice. Quality was also good.

Lunch was very good. Drinks well iced. People willing to work with my friend who could not hear. That’s what I’m happy about.

I liked the lunch part. We didn’t have to stand in line and juggle food. We were served everything. That made it very nice and relaxing. We as childcare providers don’t get much of a chance to sit and eat a nice hot lunch.

23 Great job! / Day well spent!! / Thank you! / Enjoyable / Your hard work is
appreciated. / See you next year!

The speakers were good. Tom Copeland was excellent as usual.

Great way to deal with such a wonderful abundance of prizes.

Some rooms were too hot and others too cold.

If I’m going to travel to conferences there is going to need to be more hours available.

Poor service for lunch. (Food was good) - luke warm - not enough rolls for everyone - no extra water - no coffee served - cake cut too early - very dry.

4 The food (lunch) was bad. / The chicken was too raw.

Maybe a serve yourself smorgasboard for lunch where food might be warm and better selection.

2 Would like to have a more family style or a buffet meal.

I don’t like the program during lunch. I would rather eat lunch and network.

It was hard to concentrate on presentations during lunch time.

Need more “fun” workshops but really enjoyed the professional workshops.

Usborne Books would be a good vendor.

I don’t think I’ll attend next year - the distance is too far.

I liked the presenter room.

Thank you very much for helping me in learning many different trainings and ideas to pass on.

This was a real enjoyable conference. The rooms were not crowded and I was able to attend each session that I wanted to.

This was my first time and I’ve enjoyed it greatly.

You did a great job! This was the best of the five I have attended!

Thank you for making this a much more enjoyable experience!

I appreciate having the opportunity to attend this conference - it has been a wonderful experience. Thank you! - Vicki Harris NAFCC Reg. 7 Rep.
